DOVER -- Ruth Frances Sullivan, 90, of 112 Sixth St., died Sunday, April 29, 2001, at the Dover Rehabilitation and Living Center.

She was born in Somersworth on May 14, 1910, the daughter of Daniel Francis and Melanie (Wimpfheimer) Sullivan and has resided in this area most of her lifetime.

She was a graduate of Somersworth High School and McIntosh College and the University of New Hampshire. She was a secretary for the U.S. government having worked in Washington D.C. for eight years and for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 30 years retiring in 1973.

She was a member of St. Mary Church and a member of the Friends of Dover Public Library. She is survived by two sisters Alicia M. Sullivan and Mary Melanie Sullivan both of Dover and several cousins. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister Doris M. Sullivan.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Mary Church, corner of Chestnut and Third Sts. with the Rev Fritz Cerullo, OSA, pastor as celebrant. Burial will follow in the family lot in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Somersworth.
