Tuesday, February 10th, 2004 - PLAUT, ROBERT J. - Robert J. Plaut of White Plains, formerly of Larchmont, NY, died Monday, February 9, 2004. He was 84. Robert was born in Jamaica, NY to Ralph and Gertrude Plaut on February 26, 1919. He served in the United States Air Force in WWII. Robert married Patricia Maimin on July 1, 1947 in New York City. He was a self-employed real estate broker and appraiser. Robert was a 45 year resident of Larchmont before moving to White Plains and was the Brotherhood President of Larchmont Temple, Past Chairman of the Board of Larchmont Federal Savings and Loan, Past President and Paul Harris Scholar of the Larchmont Rotary, longtime member of the Bonnie Briar Country Club and wan an avid golfer. He was also President of the Larchmont Real Estate Board, active of the Town of Mamaroneck Board of Review and the Old Guard. He served as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Crystal House in White Plains. Along with his wife, Robert is survived by his daughter, Betsy Lublin of White Plains; two grandchildren: Jennifer and Debbie, one brother, Edward Plaut of Westport, CT and cousin of Alice Ross. A brother, Ralph Plaut, Jr. died before him. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 12 noon at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the White Plains Hospital, Davis Avenue at Post Road, White Plains, NY 10601 or the charity of your choice.
