OBITUARY

Kurt Gimson, 90, of Pipersville, Pa., formerly of Glen Ridge, died on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, in Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, Pa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at Mount Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair, on Monday at 11 a.m. Visitation is at the O'Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m.

Born in Krefeld, Germany, Mr. Gimson lived in Glen Ridge for 48 years before moving to Pipersville, Pa., five years ago.

He was a textile sales representative for Brochers Trading Co. in New York City, retiring in 1991, after working there for 23 years.

Mr. Gimson was an Army veteran of World War II and a former active member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair.

He was the husband of Mildred Hassey Gimson for 56 years; father of Curtis S. and his wife, Karen, of Florida, Philip J. and his wife, Joanne, of Doylestown, Pa., and Steven D. of Pipersville, Pa.; brother of the late Hilde Berets, and grandfather of Kassandra, Michael and Robert.
