Deceased Name: Max Doverman, 80
Max Doverman, 80, former New Haven area resident, died Dec. 8. He was the husband of Lotte Neumark Doverman. In his early years he was the director of two residential programs for adolescent boys before joining a research and demonstration project in New Haven, a forerunner of the War on Poverty. He later worked for Greenleigh Associates in New York. He was also a consultant for the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, the Yale Child Study Center, the United Way, the New Haven Foundation and the Connecticut Association for United Spanish Action Inc., among others. In addition, he served as executive assistant to the Commissioner of the Connecticut Department on Aging. He was a veteran of the Army Air Forces. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth J. Doverman of Hopewell; and two granddaughters. He was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Doverman.
