     Sam Barkin was listed as the head of household on the 1910 census on 15 April 1910 121 Allen Street, New York, New York. Also living in the house was his wife, Rose Schindler, his daughter, Ida Fein and Abraham Barkin. The census states that Sam and Rose had been married for nine years, making one therefore assume that Ida and Abe were his children. Interestingly, the couple was not actually married until 02 June 1912. Either the census information may have been given by a neighbor or Rose or Sam intentionally lied about their marital status.⁵ Sam Barkin lived on 31 May 1912 at 88 Essex Street, Manhattan, New York, New York.¹ He married Rose Schindler, daughter of Barnett Schindler and Anne (Hannah) (?) Black (Bloch), on 2 June 1912 at 42-44 Broome Street, Manhattan, New York, New York; The ceremony was preformed by Jakob Horowitz, residing at 113 Ridge Street. It was witnessed by Aron Armband and B. Black.^1,4
      An unknown person was listed as the head of household on the 1915 New York State Census on 1 June 1915 68 Willet Street, New York, New York. This conclusion was arrived at because Schönle Odenheimer is listed in the 1809 Surname Adoption List in Heidelsheim with an age of 31, meaning that she was born about 1778. According to a 1785 listing of Jews in Untergrombach, Aron Baer had a daughter that was six years old at that time, i.e. born around 1779. The only other Baer daughter listed in that record would have been born around 1783.
