Emilia Del Giudice and Floristano (Flory) Calzaretta appeared on the census of 1910 at Manhattan, New York, New York; According to the census of 1910 , she was 46 years old. She was a widow and had 5 living children but had given birth to ten. She was born in Italy, as were her parents. She immigrated to the country in 1905 but was not naturalized. She spoke Italian and was able to read but not to write. Emira (Emily) Calzaretta married Jerry Quaremba on 14 December 1917 at Municipal Building, Manhattan, New York, New York.¹ Emira (Emily) Calzaretta lived on 14 December 1917 at 612 E. 180th Street, Manhattan, New York, New York.¹ As of 14 December 1917,her married name was Quaremba.

Vincenzo Micallo was born in 1844 at Naples, Italy.¹ He married Domenica Viscalzieri. Vincenzo Micallo arrived at Ellis Island in the port of New York on the SS Madonna on 28th November 1906. He was 62 years old, married, and occupied as a laborer. His last residence was in Naples, he had $6 on him, and was going to his son Giovanni Micallo at 139 Bowery, NY. He was described as 5'3" in height, had grey hair, blue eyes, he had a scar(?) on his left cheek and was bald. On the basis that he was medically certified as senile and therefore likely to become a public charge, he was denied entry into the United States. He appealed the decision to exclude him entry into the United States, but the appeal was dismissed. While waiting for the decision on his appeal to be made, he consumed nine breakfasts, ten lunches, and nine suppers. On 7 December 1906 he was deported on the Roma for return back to Italy.¹
