She reached the age of 93, was able to take care herself until well late into life and was very mentally alert. Her daughter reports that the Nazis also hasseled her mother, who was living in a mixed marriage. In order to escape deportation she had to throw boiling water onto her feet. From that she got large burns and was therefore not fit to be transported.1 Ida Herbst died in 1998 at Willsbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.1 She was buried at Willsbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.1

Hilde Berney died on 28 April 1946 at New York, New York, at age 35 in a car accident.1 She was buried at Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, New Jersey.1

     Nathan Maier was born on 17 October 1847 at Odenheim, Baden, Germany.1,2 He was the son of Löb Nathan Maier and Fanny Mannheimer.2 Nathan Maier married Fanni Hanna Wolf, daughter of Judas Isak Wolf and Res Auerbacher. Nathan Maier was a merchant and a farmer.1 He died on 16 February 1937 at Königsbach, Germany, at age 89.1 He was buried at Sinsheim, Rhein-Neckar-Kreis, Baden, Germany.1
