Martha Bär was born on 4 October 1898 at Mannheim, Baden, Germany, She may actually be the daughter of another Louis Baer, who was living in Mannheim at the same time.¹ She was the daughter of Ludwig Bär and Julie Traub.¹ Martha Bär married Samuel Heumann.² Martha Bär and Samuel Heumann immigrated on 16 June 1941 to New York, New York, from Buenos Aires, Argentina Martha was traveling to Fritz Heuman, Samuel's brother. The closest relative in the country from whence they came was an aunt, Elfried Traub who lived in London.² She died on 20 January 1983 at New York, New York, at age 84.³
