A letter of protection for Loew dated 2 Feb 1668 was found by Wollmershaeuser in the Staatsarchiv Ludwigsburg, B 287 Bueschel 37; he is mentioned in the annual accounts of Neckarulm beginning in 1676 as produced by Wollmershaeuser
                              [Wolmershauser, letter 16 Jun 1999].1

                              Loew Benjamin was received into protection (Schutz) He is recorded as "Schutzjud zu Weingartten." From BR: "Er ist wohl der Abraham Löw aus Weingarten, der 1699 um Handelserlaubnis für die Markgraftschaft Baden-Durlach nachsuchte.2 He died at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.1
