Leopold Epstein was recorded as a member of the Bruchsal Landeswaisenvereins (Orphan Association) during the 1930s and at that time lived at Freiburg, Baden, Germany, where he was employed as a Kaufmann.1

He married Pauline (Babette) Stahl, daughter of Moses Stahl and Gudel Schwarz, on 29 November 1870. Ezechiel Epstein died on 13 May 1915 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, at age 76.
