     Emma DeLemos was born on 26 March 1863 at Hamburg, Germany.2,3 She was the daughter of Joseph De Lemos and Rachel Alexander.2 Her married name was Lübeck.1 Emma DeLemos married Adolph Lübeck, son of Joseph Lübeck and Golda Alexander, on 31 March 1887 at Hamburg, Germany.1,2 In 1890 Emma suddenly boarded a ship in Hamburg and sailed for New York City to get away from her oppressive mother-in-law,Golde Lübeck née Alexander. Adolph discovered this a few hours later and boarded another ship in Hamburg to follow after her. Emma, Adolph and his mother, Golde, had previously lived in New York City but returned to Hamburg in about 1888. These events are described more fully in an article in the New York Times.3 Emma DeLemos died on 31 December 1964 at age 101.4,5 She was buried.5
