Both his parents returned home after the war. He was born on 17 May 1916 at Ceske Budejovice, Bohemia, Czechoslovakia. He was the son of Josef Langweil and Martha Freund. Bedrich Langweil died on 6 February 1945 at Concentration Camp, Leitmeritz, Czechoslovakia, at age 28.

She was born on March 1, 1896 at Tarnov, Poland. She had a fair complexion, blue eyes, blond hair, and was 5 feet 2 inches tall. She weighed 170 pounds. Her husband was Arthur, whom she married on January 29th 1923 at Vienna Austria. He was born at Gabonz, Czechslovakia on January 29, 1892 and died on Aug 7, 1944 at New York, NY. She had one daughter Billy born on September 16, 1926 at Vienna, Austria who resided at New York, NY. Her last place of foreign residence was Port au Prince, Haiti. She emigrated to the United States from Port au Prince, Haiti to New York, N.Y. under the name of Helena Rafael on November 2, 1940 on the SS Ancon.⁶ She was naturalized on 14 February 1946 at District Cout of The United States, Brooklyn, New York, USA, She was 49 years old, had a fair complexion, blue eyes, light brown hair, and was 5 feet 2 inches tall. She weighedc 170 pounds, was a widow, and her former nationality was Austrian.⁷

She applied for a special certificate of naturalizaton on 14 October 1947. She stated on the application: " I desire the special certificate sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prague, Czechoslovakia, through the apprpriate U.S. Consul, in Czechoslovakia, for the purpose of establishing my right to and obtaining the following at the following places, as the sole heiress of mhy late husband's estate, whose name was Arthur Rafael: Building #420, Zahradni ulice, Jablonec n/N, Czechoslovakia, $15, 000.00; Deposits with Ceska Banka Union, Prague, Czechoslovakia, #132,815/113 $1673, 132,904/113 $3653, 132,963/113 $5944. 132,962/113 $5291.⁸ She died on 3 February 1969 at age 72.⁹ She was buried at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Flushing, Queens, New York, Block 120, Section 17-50.⁹

Josefine Hahn was deported on 5 August 1942 at Prague, Czechoslovakia, to with transport #Aa 642. Fifteen days later, on 20 Aug 1942, she was deported to an unkown destination in Poland. Here Jewish registration number was Praha # 41396. She was officially declared dead as of 08 May 1945. She died before 8 May 1945 at Concentration Camp, Poland.

Margarete Fried filed a Petition for Issuance of Immigration Visa on 17 September 1946 for her mother, Berta Hahn.
