Marriage noted in the Generallandsarchiv Karlsruhe 390/541, Heiratsregister der Stadt Bretten, 1803-1839; appeared in Bretten on 15 June and Heidelsheim on the 22 June, 1822, to declare intention to marry. Marriage performed in Bretten on 26 June, 1822 by Rabbi Veit Flehinger. Witness was Kaufmann Weiss, Cantor in Bretten and Salomon Maier, Cantor in Heidelsheim.

Moses Weingärtner was born in September 1779 at Bretten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. He was the son of Herz Esaias Weingärtner and Nendel Ettlinger. Moses Weingärtner married Ritsch Maier, daughter of Nathan Joseph Maier and Sara Loeb Stengel, on 26 June 1822 at Bretten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. Moses Weingärtner married Ritsch Maier, daughter of Nathan Joseph Maier and Sara Loeb Stengel, on 26 June 1822 Rabbi Veit Flehinger; another date of 28 May 1823 fr doc of 1836. Moses Weingärtner married Rihle Maier, daughter of Nathan Joseph Maier and Sara Loeb Stengel, on 18 August 1836. Moses Weingärtner was Merchant. He died on 29 November 1856 at Bretten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, at age 77.

Moritz Dreifuss

     Moritz Dreifuss lived at Bushey Heartforshire, England. He was born on 13 November 1896 at Nonnenweier, Lahr, Germany. He was the son of David Dreifuss and Frieda Weingartner. Moritz Dreifuss married Lennie Wetterhahn. Moritz was in the tobacco business in Bruchsal; In 1932 he went to Basel and later to Milano; Worked in a food factory as a foreman, J Lyons and Co LTD after arriving in UK. Interned at outset of WWII. After war he was a travelling salesman, in linen?

Spent 1912 with the aunts at 15 Weisshoffer Str, probably his Lehr?1 Moritz Dreifuss lived between 1932 and 1939 at Milan, Italy. He immigrated on 1 September 1939 to England His family came one year later. He was He worked in a food factory, J Lyons & Co. Ltd. as a foreman after arriving in UK. He was interned at the outset of WWII. After war he was a travelling salesman, perhaps in linen. He died on 11 July 1978 at London, England, at age 81.

He was buried at Jewish Cemetery, Bretten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, Grave No. 145 (Row I, Nr. 33 & 34.)

     Moses Weingartner was born on 27 August 1863 at Bretten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.1 He was the son of Joseph Moshe Weingartner and Babette (Beile) Blum.1 Moses Weingartner married Fanny Levy. Moses Weingartner married Mattie Stern. Moses Weingartner was a manufacturer of overalls.1 He emigrated on 9 September 1882 from Le Havre, France, to the United States.1 He lived 1882 - after 1892 at Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.1 He was naturalized on 7 October 1887 at Quarter Sessions, Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania.1 He lived before 1896 - February 1924 at Paterson, New Jersey.1 He applied for a U.S. Passport on 8 July 1922 at Paterson, New Jersey. He intended to leave the United States from the port of New York sailing on board the steamer France on 26 July 1922 and return within two months. Moses's purpose for the trip was to travel in France and Holland and "to visit relations" in Germany.1 He died on 26 February 1924 at Paterson, New Jersey, at age 60.
