     Maier Esaias Klein was born in 1758 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. Earlier genealogies list Maier Esaias Klein as a son of Esaias Rafael and Rehle bas Moses. This however is not the case, as according to his gravestone in the Obergrombach Jewish Cemetery, Maier was a Levite. The descendants of Esaias Rafael are defenitely Israelites meaning that Maier Klein cannot be one of them.1 He married Marianne Loew Benjamin, daughter of Löw Benjamin and Mindel Abraham. Maier Esaias Klein was Butcher. Maier Esaias, age 50, adopted the name M.E. Klein in 1809 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. The family also consisted of his wife, Merge, age 45, and his children, Liebmann, age 26, Benjamin,

     Friederike Wimpfheimer was born on 18 November 1796 at Ittlingen, Lkr. Heilbronn, Baden, Germany.1 She was the daughter of Isaak (ben Maier) Wimpfheimer and Hannchen (Hindel) Loeb. Friederike Wimpfheimer was born in 1798.2 As of 1809, Friederike Wimpfheimer was also known as Rifka Wimpfheimer.2 She married Abraham Klein, son of Maier Esaias Klein and Marianne Loew Benjamin, on 2 January 1822.1 As of 2 January 1822,her married name was Klein. Friederike Wimpfheimer died on 28 May 1849 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, at age 52.1

Abraham Klein died on 14 February 1873 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, at age 76.1
