He was born in 1805. He was the son of Isaias Bär and Hannchen Michel. Mordechai Bär married Sarah Prager, daughter of Wolf Prager and Madel (Marie) Kramer, on 4 May 1843 at Bruchsal, Baden, Germany.1,2 Mordechai Bär died on 16 June 1893.

She died circa 1941 at Auschwitz, Poland.5 She was declared dead as of 8 May 1945 by Amstgericht Bruchsal, at the request of Albert Bär, 32 Avenue, Orinda, California on 13 November 1959 at Bruchsal, Baden, Germany.4

His date and place of birth were 22 October 1878, Untergrombach, Germany. The name and address of "Person who will always know your address" were (Mrs.) Emma Baer, 600 West 186St Apt 4B, New York. He was employed by himself at home. The description of the registrant was (an unknown value).9 He was a peddler on 29 June 1945.10

                                Anselm Bär filed a Petition for Naturalization on 29 June 1945 at Supreme Court, New York, New York.10 He was naturalized on 11 March 1946 at District Court of the Untied States, New York, New York. The personal description of holder as of date of naturalization was: Age: 67 years, color: medium, complexion: brown, color of eyes: gray, color of hair: 5' 7", height: 160 lbs., (an unknown value).11 He lived on 11 March 1946 at 600 W. 186th St, New York, New York. He died in March 1963 at age 84.12
