Russell H. Meyer; Was Store Executive
Russell H. Meyer, a retired executive at the old Biederman Furniture store in St. Louis, died Wednesday (Feb. 21, 1990) at St. Louis University Hospital after a brief illness. He was 84.
Mr. Meyer was born in St. Louis and attended Washington University. For 25 years, he was vice president and merchandise manager at Biederman's. He retired in 1971.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hoffmeister-Colonial Mortuary, 6464 Chippewa Street. The body was cremated.
Among survivors are his wife, Marguerite; two daughters, Joanne E. Simms of Houston and Barbara A. Grosberg of Beverly Hills, Calif.; two brothers, Gershon Meyer and Theodore Meyer, both of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
