Irene Eisemann, 98, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2000, at her home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, January 28, at Louis Memorial Chapel. Burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, family suggests contributions to Beth Shalom Congregation Foundation or the Menorah Medical Center Foundation.

Mrs. Eisemann was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom and a life member of its Sisterhood. She was a life member of Hadassah and the Menorah Medical Center Auxiliary where she was a volunteer for 55 years, first in the sewing room and later in the medical library. Mrs. Eisemann was a member of the National Council of Jewish Women and the Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy Auxiliary. She was born in Darmstadt, Germany and came to Kansas City in 1938. Mrs. Eisemann was preceded in death by her four brothers and two sisters. Her husband of 39 years, Karl Eisemann, who died in 1961, was an officer of the Continental Grain Company. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Gustave and Elinor Eisemann, Mission Hills, KS; a daughter, Hannah Bloch, Wichita, KS; a daughter and son-in-law, Bertha and Walter Zimmerman, Danbury, CT, and Boca Raton, FL; 8 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
