Dear Alex,
thanks for your last mail . It is helpful to know in time which books I
should avoid because somebody else has already exhausted them.
Now I have something about Hasterliks and Hahns. You may already have
the facts from HBF ( Book of familiants ) ...... Never mind, this is not
very time- spending and brings me usually precious information to start with
and then search for further details in Registers.
So What about Hahns and Hasterliks? Should I search for more ?
HBF 118 Book of familiants including Blattna and Chanovitz ( Blatna and
Chanovice )
Chanowitz
Name of a familiant Hasterlik Jakob , living in Chanowitz
His parents Isak Hasterlik and magdalena
His wife Rifka daughter of Markus Isak
Jakob Hasterlik received marriage allowance ( konsens ) in 1772 for
Chanowitz
Jakob Hasterlik died 13. October 1818 without sons ( no son to receive the
familiant position after him )
The position after Jakob Hasterlik ( dessen nachfolgen ) received
Hahn Markus , living in Schluesselberg
His parents Samuel hahn and Magdalena born Bloch
His wife Magdalena born Hasterlik
Markus Hahn received marriage allowance ( konsens ) 3. June 1815 no. 21761
Sons of Markus Hahn and Magdalena born Hasterlik
Jakob born in 1820
Isak born 1826
My comments
? This was very common that the familiant position received a husband if
there were no sons in the family
( Markus Hahn received the position because of the marriage with
Magdalena - Mina , daughter of Jakob Hasterlik who had no son to be a
fmiliant after him..)
? Isak used to be also called Ignatz so I suppose that this Isak born in
1826 is the same person as Ignatz who married Elisabeth Pick
