She was the daughter of Lehmann Kaufmann and Barbara (Babette) Lichtenberger. Mimi (Mathilde) Kaufmann married Hermann Simon. Mimi (Mathilde) Kaufmann died on 31 December 1934 at Engelberg, Germany, at age 79.

     Hermann Simon was born on 2 March 1843 at Lambsheim, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. He married Mimi (Mathilde) Kaufmann, daughter of Lehmann Kaufmann and Barbara (Babette) Lichtenberger. Hermann Simon died on 14 August 1897 at age 54.
