He is listed on the census as "Max Fuchs" and described as white, married, and 48-years old. His first marriage occurred at the age of 24. He owns his home, which is worth $8,000 and does not own a radio.He is able to read and write. He was born in Germany as were both his parents. He arrived in the United State in 1897 and is naturalized. His mother tongue was German. He is employed as a merchant in the industry of retail ladies ware.5
Max Fuchs died on 28 September 1947 at Rochester, Beaver, Pennsylvania, at age 66.8 He was buried at Dayton, Ohio.8

     Klara Fuchs Most likely died as listed ( 5.8.42 Auschwitz) even though age varies by four years from Weingarten OSB to Der Geschicte dem ZJuden in Wengarten" . Based on Husband's step mother, she and son lived at same address. She was born on 25 July 1883 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.3 She was the daughter of Maier Mendel (Stengel) Fuchs and Helena Hanna Prager. Klara Fuchs married Sigmund Fuchs, son of Moses Fuchs and Friederike Hauf, on 8 October 1907 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.4 Klara Fuchs died circa 5 August 1942 at Auschwitz, Poland, Transported to Auschwitz that day, declared dead.5 Fritz Fuchs submitted a Page of Testimony on 31 May 1993 to commemorate Klara Fuchs, a victim of the holocaust.6
