     Jakob Löwenstein was born on 26 August 1876 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.3 He was the son of Hermann (Herz) Löwenstein and Emilie Wolff. Jakob Löwenstein married Helena Bär, daughter of Jesajas Bär II and Ester Kahn, on 1 December 1910 at Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.4 Jakob Löwenstein witnessed the marriage of Siegfried Krieger and Meta Bär on 12 October 1920 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.5 Jakob Löwenstein was Owner of Eisenwaren und Landmaschinen with brother Julius. Jakob Löwenstein lived at Marktpltaz 20, Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. He appeared in the German Census of 1939 at Adolf Hitlerplatz 20, Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. His date and place of birth were given as 22.8.1876 at Weingarten, Baden. All of his grandparents were Jewish. The other people listed in the household were Helena Bär and Babette (Sofie) Bär.6 Jakob Löwenstein was deported on 22 October 1940 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, to Camp de Gurs.7 He died after 10 August 1942 at Auschwitz Extermination Camp, Oswiecim, Poland.7
