Erna Krieger
     Her married name was Krieger. Erna Hochstetter was born on 15 July 1900 at Liedolsheim, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.1 She married Sigmund Krieger, son of Karl Krieger and Bertha Bär. Erna Hochstetter was the daughter of Karl Hochstetter and Bertha Hagenauer.2 Erna Hochstetter died on 10 August 1942 at Auschwitz Extermination Camp, Oswiecim, Poland, at age 42.

     Hans Max Krieger was born on 30 August 1922 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. He was the son of Sigmund Krieger and Erna Hochstetter. Hans Max Krieger was able to immigrate to Virginia in 1938 through a Save the Children foundation. He later served in World War II with US Special forces and received a bronze star. He helped to liberate a concentration camp in Belgium. He married Della Neuberger on 26 October 1947. Hans Max Krieger died on 14 March 2010 at Dunedin, Florida, at age 87.2,3
