Melanie (Annie) Meier died on 6 August 1986 at Brooklyn, New York, at age 63.

     Nathan Loew Stengel was born on 8 March 1780 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.1 He was the son of Löw Esaias and Pessche (?) Nathan Löw, age 30, adopted the name Stengel in 1809 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.2 Nathan Loew Stengel took the surname Stengel because of his slender and tall stature, according to my [Werner Frank's] grandfather, Lehmann Weingartner as told to Lehmann's daughter, Bertha Weingärtner Frank. He married Sara Bamberger, daughter of Joseph Bamberger and Auguste (Gitel) Strassburger. As of 1811, Nathan Loew Stengel lived at Jöhlinger Straße, Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, He lived with brother Herz Löw Löwenstein there, according to 1811 Lagerbuch for Weingarten. Listed as Number 5. He witnessed the birth of Lecas Löwenstein on 12 May 1814 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.3 Nathan Loew Stengel died on 28 January 1841 at Weingarten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, at age 60.4,5 He was buried at Jewish Cemetery, Obergrombach, Baden, Germany.6

She married Herz Esaias Weingärtner, son of Esaias Rafael and Rehle Moses, on 23 November 1772 at Bretten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany. As of 23 November 1772,her married name was Weingärtner. She was unable to take care of herself and was placed in brother Moses' hands by their father Herz in a will of 26 Nov 1821. Regine (Roile) Weingartner was born in June 1789. She was the daughter of Herz Esaias Weingärtner and Nendel Ettlinger. Regine (Roile) Weingartner died on 25 December 1852 at Bretten, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, at age 63.
