He married Nanette Stein, daughter of Jakob Hirsch Stein and Helena Minger, on 3 August 1868 at Untergrombach, Baden, Germany.1 Kaufmann Bär died on 25 August 1917 at Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany, at age 73.3,2 He was buried at New Jewish Cemetery, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.3

Leopold Bär married Adele Schnitzler in 1902 at Altena, Westfalen, Germany.3 Leopold Bär died on 25 April 1963 at St. Lawrence State Hospital, Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County, New York, at age 89.4 He was buried on 28 April 1963 at Anshne Zophen Cemetery, Ogdensburg, St. Lawrence County, New York.4
